About AcreageCalc

AcreageCalc is a small, independent set of free tools for working out land area: measuring a parcel on a map, turning lot dimensions into acres, and converting between acres, square feet, square meters, hectares and older survey units.

The calculations run entirely in your browser. Map areas are computed on the earth’s surface (not a flat projection), and conversions use exact unit definitions (1 acre = 43,560 sq ft = 4,046.8564224 m²).

These tools give estimates for planning, buying supplies, comparing listings and similar everyday uses. They are not a legal survey. For boundary disputes, sales or permits, rely on a licensed surveyor and your county records.
